July 27-28, 2008, Guatemala City, Guatemala—Judith Ganes
Chase returned as a speaker at this year's Guatemalan Coffee
Congress that is organized by Anacafe, the Guatemalan Coffee
Association. Judith presented her views on the world market
outlook, specialty coffee and the impact rising costs are having
on coffee growers worldwide. Following the meeting, Judith immersed herself in the rich culture of Guatemala for an

the instructor for a two-day seminar on price risk management
on behalf of Cotton Council International being offered to

May 2-5, 2008, Minneapolis, MN—For the fifth consecutive year,
Judith Ganes Chase presented the "State of the Industry" address
expressing her views on the outlook for specialty coffee around
the world at the Specialty Coffee Association of American Conference
and Exhibition. Due to the packed crowd during prior speeches, and
recognition given to her work, the SCAA expanded the room and
offered simultaneous translation in Spanish at the 2008 conference.

Fourth Year Participant in the East African Finer Coffee Association
Conference
February 15-17, 2008, Kampala, Uganda—Judith Ganes Chase journeyed to Uganda to speak at the East African Finer Coffee Association
(EAFCA) conference to give her views on the global supply and demand
outlook. Her annual address has become a mainstay at this increasingly
popular international venue. Prior conferences were held in Ethiopia,
Tanzania, and Zimbabwe. The association is comprised of ten producing
countries in the region.
